Our Stuff Arrives!

Everything has arrived and with the exception of some food stuff (they still need to see it as the moving company couldn't find the box it was in) we can keep it all as MAF have carried out their inspection.

It feels like Christmas opening the boxes. Although most of them have gone straight into the garage until we move.

Pepper jumped straight into her bed when it was unloaded.

A Lovely Evening at the Beach

Well it was a lovely evening and we decided to head for the beach with the new bodyboards we bought at the Warehouse in the sale. I have one to and a wetsuit (Ian is very insistant I go in the sea as well!! Just not tonight though.... not quite warm enough!)

More from the Beach

It was great fun until the end when both the boys got stuck! All was fine as Ian was with them. Matt was trying to walk from the sea back to the beach but he couldn't get there. The current kept pulling him back and Ian had to swim out and get him!! Mean while Tom, who was not in the current and on his way out, hit a big patch of rocks that he managed to get into but decided then he couldn't possably go any further! Poor Ian had to go in and rescue him as well!

A Day at the Races

We went to the races the other day and I can’t believe the difference to the UK. It isn’t a cheap day out there if you buy food and drinks etc. Well in Waipuk that was not the case I can tell you! $5 each to get in (for the adults. Kid’s including the 13 year old, free) All of us were given an ice cold bottle of water on the way in and again on the way out. Free. The local radio station was there providing everyone with burgers. Free. Wow is all I can say, when I think how much we used to spend on a day at the races in the UK….. (OK I know I have a big betting habit…. But still!)

More Day at the Races...

A Welcome BBQ

The people we have met here have been so kind to us. The staff I have met from the school have made me really welcome and held a BBQ for us and there Tom found his first friend. Our next door neighbours moved from Scotland last year and they have also been so kind. They gave me a door key to their house the first day we moved in so I had access to the Internet when they were at work! They also gave us a key to the garage so we could borrow bikes and tools if we needed them!

Hello Poppsy.... Welcome to your New Home

We travelled down to Wellington to pick Pepper up the day we arrived in Waipuk. We dumped most of the stuff and headed off. We stayed in a lovely hotel for the night as we had to pick the girl up quite early. We stayed very close to the airport so we wouldn’t be late for her. After paying her custom fees (for 1 x live dog… they couldn’t be held responsible if she expired due to natural causes during the flight!) we were able to collect her.

Poppsy really was excited!!

Poppsy really needed a drink! She was so excited to see us all. Very sweet, we were all pleased to see her to.

Off to Waipuk at Last

Just a few pictures of the drive to Waipuk and down to pick Pepper up. The roads weren't as quiet as I remember but nothing anywhere near UK busy. I suppose it was height of their holiday season!

And Some More....
