What a Rush the Flight was!
Well that was a trauma. We were so long getting through security we nearly missed the flights. Serves us right travelling on the morning Saddam Hussein was executed! The aeroplane waited for us and a couple of others but left some poor people behind. That could have been us except I had had words with the supervisor about our weight allowance and he recognised me as we came through security and rushed us to the plane! The flight was a long one. We all did really well though. I think the next time we make the journey we’ll fly late at night. We’ve done both options now and I slept a lot less this time. That made it seem much longer and a lot more boring. If only I could afford business class. Oh well……

A Visit with Gerry and Ann

Christmas Day
A lovely Christmas with Ian’s family. There were 16 people for Christmas Dinner and I think they coped very well. I wouldn’t like to try and cook for so many. We spent a lot of time trying to get our weight down… not us of course with all the lovely goodies to eat… but our luggage was well over. In the end we has to ship some of it separately. I also went to get £13,000 of traveller’s cheques. The post office on had denominations of £50 and £100’s. I felt like I was signing my name for hours!

A lovely time had by all
A lovely few days with all the family. We all enjoyed the time we spent there and the boys were very good about not having much in the way of presents to open. They have plenty of $$$$$ to spend on the other side though! It was very hard to say goodbye and I cried nearly all the way to London, good job Ian was driving!... now I just can't wait for them all to visit and see what a lovely new life we all have.

Temporary House
We are now in our temporary house. As you can see by the photos it’s a lot more comfortable to be in than in the old house. We have sofa and chairs and tables…. Still on the blow up bed though! Poppsy has found a nice little corner of her own out of the way. I must say I am very glad she has had the lampshade removed, she was a menace when she just ran into everything. Including us and boy did it hurt! Tom doesn’t seem too happy either or is that the way he always looks?!!

A Lovely Break in Bristol to See Cats
Mum, Louise and I went to Bristol last weekend to see Cats. We had a lovely time and I slept in the most comfy bed EVER! (Please bear in mind I have been on an airbed for weeks!) It was great fun and I had a lovely time. Not sure about the first part of Cats but the second half was great. Mum had a scare when one of the cat’s came into the audience and hissed right in her face! I found it very funny….. not sure mum did though!
We had dinner and breakfast in the hotel and the food was lovely. We left quite early on the Sunday morning so I could go back to my sisters and fix her broadband problems. After much messing I did so she is now up and running and will be able to keep in touch on Skype. She bought a computer book and is going to do a little swatting.
